1. Always Have a To-Do or Task List
Personally, I use a weekly to-do list. Since I wear so many hats, my list is broken down by category, and at the top is a space for my 5 most important tasks of the week. Keeping an organized list keeps me on task so when I walk into the office I can start being productive right away.
2. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
A healthy breakfast combined with water will fuel and hydrate your body to carry you through the morning and keep your brain on high alert to carry out the day’s tasks.
3. Take a Refreshing Walk
Thoreau said, “An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.” And this is absolutely true. A walk can help you clear your mind and gets the endorphins flowing. Not to mention, it is great for your overall health. If you can do it with a friend or dog, all the better!
4. Be Positive
While we cannot control every situation in our lives, we are free to control how we react to them. Make a decision every day to be positive and enthusiastic in everything you do – it helps! Not only will it propel you forward in your tasks, but it will inspire others too!
5. Listen to a Podcast on the Way to Work
Listening to an inspirational podcast on your way to work can get you charged up to slay the morning. I like ‘How I Built This with Guy Raz”. Story after story of successful entrepreneurs outlining how they went from zeroes to heroes will really get you going!
